Hard Decisions

This week, Britt and I had to make a very hard decision.  We decided to pull the boys out of school.  It might not sound like a hard decision to some people, but it absolutely broke my heart.

Both boys LOVED school.  The problem is, when I registered them at FBC Preschool in Clinton, we still lived in Brandon.  I felt POSITIVE we would be moved by august/september.  WRONG!  Up until January, the drive wasn't to bad.  Britt worked in Raymond so he took them to school and I picked them up.  Now that he is in Byram, I have to take them and pick them up.  Parker is only in school for 3 hours, so it seems pointless to drive all the way home for such a short amount of time.  So, Harry and I would just sit in the car until time to pick Parker up.  I SO wish it was spring or summer so we could just go play at the park, but since it is winter, it has either been raining, or too cold to get out...  So we decided it was just too much to keep it up.

Parker had the BEST teacher ever.  She has worked with Parker and been so patient with him.  If you know him, you know that he is VERY picky.  He also does not like to do school work.  Mrs. Kim just accepted him for who he is and tried to broaden his horizons...  For example, she got him to eat king cake!  This kid ONLY eats chicken, cookies, and crackers.  Eating king cake was a big deal.  I found out today that he actually started doing his school work without saying, "No."  From August to September, he has learned so much, including writing his name AND learning how to draw a picture.  I give Mrs. Kim 100% of the credit.

Mrs. Kim, I don't think you will ever know how truly grateful I am for taking care of my baby.  You loved him and taught him so much.  I am SO grateful for the time he had with you!

Everyone at FBC Preschool is awesome!  They ALL took such good care of Parker.  We are grateful for you all!

I am hoping to take Harrison to say good bye to his teachers Friday, so I will post pictures of that later.  Everyone at the FBC MDO is awesome too!  They always told me what an angel he is.  I am afraid he had them fooled ;)  They loved on him like he was their own, and I am so thankful for that!

I don't know if anyone at the preschool or MDO will read this, but I hope they know how grateful I am for them and how much we will mis every single one of them!
