San Fran Day 2

We started our first full day with a trip to Muirwoods.  

Biggest clover I have ever seen!

It was pretty chilly for this Mississippi girl.  We started out with coffee and hot chocolate!  We also had our first experience with being "green" in California.  They did not have lids or straws for your drinks. I am sure this cuts down on litter too.  The cashier boy was just a tad bit rude about it...

Anyway, the trees were HUGE!  Everything was so green.  We just leisurely walked the trail for a while...

After walking the trail for a bit, we came to a sign that gave directions to two different trails.  We decided to do the LONG trail that supposedly had an ocean view.  We passed a man who warned us to turn around.  He said the way we were going was basically a giant staircase for MILES.  We thanked him and kept walking.  

We rounded the corner, and saw what he was talking about.  We thought, you only live once right?  How often are we in San Fran?  It can't be that bad... Right?  WRONG!  We hiked up hill for MILES!  

The picture doesn't do it justice.  It was tough.  I was kind of excited for a chance to work some of the baby weight though ;)

While the view at the top was pretty, we never saw the ocean :(  We did see some unusual flowers though!  

Finally back to the bottom of the mountain!

 After we finally found our way back to the bottom, we browsed the gift shop.  I REALLY wanted to buy this bowl made from the wood of a redwood tree, buuuuut the one I picked out was about $400!  I'll take a $6 coaster thanks ;)

We ate lunch at Bar Bocce in Sausalito.  Gorgeous view!

Over all a fun day!  We headed back to the hotel to get ready for the welcome dinner at the Exploratorium!

Caroline is 6 Months!

Our little princess turned 6 months June 12!  She is growing up SO fast!

Her 6 months stats: Height 27 1/4in. (92%)

Weight 17.1lbs (76%)

Head Circumference 44%

I am so enjoying you at 6 months sweet Caroline!  A few milestones:  

• You are starting to sit up on your own.  You still topple over after a while, But we are working on it.  I tried to put it off as long as I could ;)
•   You can roll over from your back to your stomach.  Getting close to rolling over from stomach to back.
• You are cutting two bottom teeth.  Hopefully they will pop through soon!  You are a trooper and still as happy can be!
• You just started solid food.  You LOVED the first jar of Sweet Potatoes.  I decided to make your food after that.  I bought a fancy baby food maker and everything.  You refused to eat the fresh sweet potatoes for the first few days, but you finally gave in and ate all your sweet potatoes and carrots today!  Tomorrow you try avocado!  
• You are out growing your clothes SO fast!  Definitely in 6-9 month clothes now.  
• You are quickly out growing your size 2 diapers.  Especially huggies brand!
• You can "say" bubba and mama.  No one could ever convince Parker you are not talking to him!

• You are sleeping through the night and still taking 2-3 naps a day.
• You have crazy curly hair!  It's so cute.  I hope you keep it!  Just in case you don't, I am taking lots of pictures of it!  :) 
• You love to play in the baby einstein and anything that rattles! 
• You are VERY loved by your big brothers!  They can't walk past you without kissing, hugging, or tugging on you.  Harry usually tugs. :)  
• You love to squeal.  Of course, we think it is so cute.  Not sure what other people think when we are in public ;)  Parker will squeal back.  Sometimes it's like a little conversation.

You are SO loved sweet girl!  Happy 6 months!
