Caroline Elizabeth

Our sweet Caroline will be 7 weeks tomorrow.  However, I haven't done her birthday post!  Here we go...

One last bump pic before leaving for the hospital!  I.was.huge.

Wednesday, December 11, we checked into the hospital to begin the induction!  Britt and I stopped by Schlotzsky's for an early dinner before.  It was so calm and quiet. :)  After getting checked in and answering a million pointless questions, we were ready to get started!
We unloaded at the wrong door.  Ooops.

Getting excited!

Dr. Brantley called just before 6 to tell my nurse to go ahead and start the cervidil.  Let's just say, that was NOT a pleasant experience.  I started having contractions around 8:00.  Just before we were ready to go to sleep, I asked for some pain medication to help me sleep.  Unfortunately, the medicine didn't help me sleep like it did when I had Harry.  They pumped me full of fluid, so I was up every hour like clock work!

Wouldn't have made it without him by my side!

So thankful to have my daddy there.

Dr. Brantley broke my water around 7.  LOTS of fluid... that's all i'm saying.   The contractions were pretty brutal.  At some point, the nurse checked me and I was 7cm!  I started to panic that I would be able to get my epidural!  Thankfully I got it shortly after.  However, it did not help much.  I was still in a good bit of pain.  I remember saying several times, "I can't do this!" I just wanted it to be over!

Right before the doctor came in, I told Britt that I changed my mind.  I just knew it was a boy!

Best doctor ever.  So thankful for her!
At 10:26a.m., SHE made her arrival!  We were so surprised and excited!  Lots of happy, happy tears were shed.  I couldn't believe we had a girl!

I was so excited for the boys to meet their baby sister.  Parker had been saying throughout the whole pregnancy that he didn't want a baby sister, he wanted a baby brother.  He doesn't handle change very well.  Luckily, he never missed a beat.  It was love at first sight for both boys!

We let the boys come in first, and then let the grandparents and aunts come in.

I will end with pictures from the rest of our hospital stay.  They are pretty self-explanatory.

We have a GIRL!

First time for Parker to hold her.

He loves her so much!

I feel sorry for any future boyfriends.  These boys are going to be very protective!

I didn't think this was the going home outfit we would use!

I love a bonnet. :)
Dr. Brantley is amazing!
Party of 5!
 We love you sweet Caroline!
