Where has the time gone???

Yet again, alot has happened since my last post. I really thought I would do better about posting, but I just don't seem to have the time or the will... I am going to start writing as if I were talking to Parker, since he is the main reason I am trying to keep this blog up.

So Parker, you are currently sleeping. It took you awhile to go to sleep tonight, as it has for the past couple of nights. I still love you and I could watch you sleep all night long, if I could stay awake! Anyway, I thought I would write an update on your recent milestones.

1. You are 13 months old
2. Walking full force
3. You have 10 teeth
4. Aside from mama and dada, your first word was tractor :)
5. You say dog dog instead of just dog
6. You are trying to say puffs, more, lion, and what's that?. At least that's what it sounds like :)
7. You love tractors, anything with wheels, and anything you can push or spin
8. You also like for mommy and daddy to read to you

It's getting late, so I will end for now. Hopefully I will update sooner than I did the last time!

Lately

Alot has been going on in the Thomas household lately. On Monday, Parker started walking, or so we thought! I even got it on video. If it wasn't for that video, I would have thought I dreamed it! He hasn't taken a step since! Every time we stand him up, he'll stand there for a second and then sit down and crawl to me. I was hoping he would be walking by his birthday, but it's not looking to promising!

Parker's birthday is wednesday! I can't believe my baby is going to ONE YEAR OLD! This week is going to be a very busy week. I need to make cupcakes to take to school and cupcakes for the actual party on saturday, get the house cleaned up, finish getting all the party supplies, and paint the guest bathroom!

We are in the process of remodeling the guest bath. What a project it has been. I have beeen tearing down wall paper for the past 2 weekends! NOT FUN. It was much harder than I anticipated. All the wallpaper is down now. All we have left to do is even out the walls with sheet rock mud, sand, and paint! Hopefully this will all get down by the birthday party! I will post before and after pics soon, but for now here is proof that Parker can walk!

Update

Well, alot has happened since my last post! Parker has been off the paci for months, he is almost off the bottle, and he turns 1 in less than a month!!! Seriously, where does the time go??? He is not walking yet, but he can stand up for about as long as he wants to. He has 8 teeth now and I am pretty sure he will be getting a another one or two pretty soon!

July and August have been extremely busy for us. Here are a few pics of what we have been doing.

Self explanatory...

Baby Einstein

Today Parker has been a little fussy because he has a pretty nasty diaper rash and he is cutting 3 teeth. I really needed sweep the floor, so I put on a Baby Einstein DVD to occupy him for a bit and keep him out of the kitchen. I wasn't sure if it was going to work today, but as he crawled into the living room crying, he look up at the TV and instantly stopped crying. Now, I am not going to be one of those mom's who puts her kids in front of the TV all day everyday, but every once in a while I need a little break! I've posted a picture of Parker watching the video. He sat like that for at least 5 minutes!

Southern Miss To The Top!

Ok, I know it's a little late, but I will say it any way... I am so proud of the Eagles for making it to the College World Series! Britt and I drove to Omaha with his family Friday after work. What a LONG day. We left Batesville, MS around 7:30pm and arrived in Omaha around 7:30am! I offered to drive during the night, but only if they wanted to end up in Canada (yes, my sense of direction is THAT bad). Pulling up to Rosenblatt stadium was so exciting! Seeing little the ole Southern Miss logo next to all the other larger schools was incredible.

The story of the trip definitely had to be waiting in line for 7 hours to get into the first game! We felt so hard core. There was a group of Southern Miss fans in front of us and two slightly strange and annoying Texas fans in front of us. While waiting in line, we were able to see our good friends Scheaffer and Allison! They were lucky enough to have reserved seats. We tried upgraded to reserved seating, but that required getting in line around 5:00 in the morning! Britt's dad was interviewed by the local news in Omaha. That was pretty exciting. We also had our picture taken by an official Southern Miss photographer and a CWS photographer. They both told us the picture would be on the website, but I keep forgetting to check. Anyway, it was a long wait, but it was well worth it! We were able to sit in the very front row in left field. I won't bore you with all the details. I just want to say I was proud to be an Eagle before the CWS and I am proud to be an Eagle now. I HATE fair weather fans. I am also proud of all the other Southern Miss fans who showed up in Omaha. We had the most fans out of all 8 teams. Go Eagles!

I don't know if I really have the time to do this blog thing, but for now guess I will keep trying. Parker was running a 101.2 fever yesterday. Of course, you would never believe the child was sick. He was smiling and waving to everyone who passed by at school and in the Doctor's office! We have been so blessed to have such a happy baby. Everyone keeps telling me if your first child is good, the second child will be the total opposite. I am terrified. We have been so spoiled with Parker. I don't know what I will do if we have a child that is demanding.

In other news, I got a jogging stroller Sunday! What a workout! I started getting sore the first time I used it! Of course, not running since BEFORE Parker was born might have had something to do with it...

I also want to congratulate the Southern Miss baseball team for making it to the COLLEGE WORLD SERIES!!! We are leaving Friday to watch them play in Omaha! I am SO excited! I guess that is all for now. Until next time, Southern Miss To The Top!

Wow. It has been so long since I have blogged, I don't even know where to start! Parker has reached several milestones. He has gone from an inch worm crawl, to a one hand at a time crawl (if that makes any sense), he is pulling up on EVERYTHING, and he is getting two teeth on the top! He is definitely keeping us busy!

I celebrated my very first Mother's Day this year! Never in my WILDEST dreams did I expect to be celebrating Mother's Day at 24. I feel so old. The fact that I was in bed @ 8:30 last night and excited about it doesn't help either! Anyway, Mother's day was great. I have such a thoughtful husband. I have been wanting a very specific running shoe for like a year, but since they were slightly out of our price range, I haven't been able to purchase them. Britt ordered them for me for Mother's Day and had them over-nighted to Hattiesburg, were we would be spending Mother's Day weekend. He even had them gift wrappped! Unfortunately, there was a delay in shipping so they didn't arrive in Hattiesburg till Monday :( Anyway, to make an already long story a little bit shorter, He picked them up on his way back from Florida this past Sunday. I like my new shoes, and I LOVE my husband. He is so thoughtful and tried so hard to make Mother's Day special for me :)

I guess that is about all for now. 9:00 is defintely my bedtime...

My baby is growing up! He can roll over both ways, he can sit up all by himself, and he has his first two teeth coming in! Where has the time gone? It seems like just yesterday I found out I was pregnant!

Please pray for us. Parker is getting tubes put in a week from today. I know it is no big deal, but I am still so nervous for my baby! Everyone keeps telling me how he will be a completely different child after the tubes are in. I can't imagine Parker having any more energy than he does now! I have a feeling he will be running circles around us in no time! He has been such a little trooper the past 2 months. I am so excited he will be feeling better soon!

Entering the Blog World

After many months of deliberation, I have finally decided to give in and join the blog world... I mean, is anyone really going to read this? Do people really care to read about our life? I guess I will soon find out. Until then, happy Sunday!
