A Southern Miss Anniversary

Britt and I celebrated our anniversary a little early this year. We drove to Destin for a long weekend and had such a good time! So when our actual anniversary rolled around, we decided to head out to trustmark park to watch the Eagles play! The game was suppose to start at 7:30, but the previous game ran late. Our game didn't start till 9 o'clock! It was a long night, but we had so much fun! Both the boys were such troopers. I kept asking Parker if he was ready to go home, but each time he said NO! Harrison pretty much slept in his Kk's lap the whole time. Here are some pictures from the night.

Parker convinced Aunt Jennie to take him down the BIG slide!
Then he convinced mommy to take him too... It was a little high for my taste :)

Of course daddy had to take him too :)

Kk held him almost the whole time :)
He loves his Eagles!

We won!
Perfect way to celebrate our anniversary :)

We had a great time! We also saw our fellow Southern Miss friends Schaeffer and Allison after the game, but we didn't get a picture :( It was almost midnight after all! SMTTT!

Milestones and a Funny

Harrison rolled over for the first time a few weeks ago! He rolled from his tummy to his back. I figured it was just a fluke, but last week he did it again! He HATES being on his tummy, so I figured he would roll ever to his back first. He doesn't get much floor time because he spits up SO much. I have been trying to let him lay on his tummy and back a little more though. If I don't, the poor kid will never learn to roll over!

I am going to start writing down the funny little things Parker says. He is such a funny little boy and he talks NON-STOP! This morning I fixed him some oatmeal for breakfast. While he was eating it, I told him that it would make him strong if he ate it all. When he finished eating it, he ran into my room and said, "Mommy! It made me strong already!" It was so hilarious to me. He was so excited. He felt stronger already! Now, if that would only work to get him to eat his vegetables!

Pinterest

Ok, I have discovered yet another addicting website to waste my time with. It's called pinterest. Basically, you have what is called a pin board and you pin stuff that you find either on other peoples boards, or just on the internet. It is a great place to get ideas from and to save things that you want to remember. Check it out! If you sign up, make sure you follow me! I am giving you the link to mine, and you can go from there to set yours up! http://pinterest.com/sarahbeth85/

I am off to get an energetic toddler out of his bed, since he decided not to take a nap today :(

12 Weeks

I feel like I say this everytime, but my how time flies! Harrison turned 12 weeks on Tuesday. He is growing by leaps and bounds! He weighs somewhere between 13-14lbs. I am not sure how long he is, but it looks like he is going to be a tall boy! He is so long! He is smiling and talking all the time now! Yesterday morning, He would not smile at me or Britt, but as soon as Parker sat beside him and started talking to him he smiled the biggest smile and started talking up a storm! It was the sweetest thing! So sweet to see that at almost 3 momths, he already looks up to his big brother so much :)

He has slowly increased his formula intake. He takes between 4-5 oz. He is still eating every 3 hours on the dot! He started sleeping most of the night a few weeks ago. I give him his last feeding around 10. He usually wakes up around 3-4 and I have to put his paci back in a few times. Britt gets up with him around 5am and feeds him. I am SO ready for him to sleep through the night without waking up at all. He usually takes about 3 naps throughout the day. anywhere from 1-2 1/2 hours. I am going to start trying to keep him awake a little more. Hopefully that will help him sleep more soundly during the night.

He is just the sweetest baby. We are so blessed to have him in our lives.

Anniversary

Britt and I celebrated our anniversary a little early this year. Last weekend we spent a few nights in Sandestin! It was wonderful! I was a little worried that is was going to rain the whole time, but the only day we had rain was the day we drove in.

We arrived on Friday night, and came home Monday night. This was our first time to leave Harrison by himself! I was SO ready for a break, I wasn't worried about it too much :) Parker stayed with my parents and Harrison stayed with Britt's parents. At this point, we figured both boys was a little too much to put on either parent at one time! Anyway, the first day we picked up a few groceries we forgot and then went shopping! Britt was SO sweet and patient while shopping. We had a great time!

Sunday, we spent the ENTIRE day at the beach. It was wonderful! We started out using the chairs and umbrella from the owner of our condo, but quickly decided it would be MUCH easier and enjoyable to just rent chairs and an umbrella from the resort. Best money spent the whole trip! I don't think we will ever bring our own chairs and umbrella again! Britt stayed under the umbrella almost the whole day, while I layed out in the sun! The sun does not agree with britt's pale skin :) The water was FREEZING, but we got in a few times to cool off. We ate out at Baytowne Wharf that night. Not the best night we have ever had. It was too cold to eat outside, and the restaurant we ended up choosing was loud and the food was not very good. It was nice to be able to take our time and have an adult conversation though :)

Monday, we woke up and packed all our stuff. We took our time going home though. We stopped at the Destin Commons to do a little last minute shopping. We ended up eating at Johnny Rockets. It was so good! Much better than the place we ate the night before. We also made a stop at Spanish Fort, and gulfport before heading to Hattiesburg to pick up Parker.

The first thing Parker said to me was, "No, I don't want to go home! I want to stay at Gram and Gramps house!" So nice to see he missed us ;) I told him we had to go pick up his brother, and he said, "what brother?" Sorry Harrison, I promise he really does love you! We stopped in Brookhaven to pick up Harrison, and finally made it home arounf 11:30pm.

We had such a great time. I can't wait to take the boys!
