Best Friends

These two are best friends.  They have only known each other for a few months, but they became fast friends the minute they met!  They love telling people they are best friends.  It is the sweetest thing.  Apparently, they both told a complete stranger at the park that they were best friends.  :)  Every time we get together, they run up to each other screaming each others name.  It is so funny.  I hope and pray that their sweet little friendship continues to grow and that they stay best friends forever!  We have some stories to tell at their weddings!  :)

Easter 2012

It is amazing what happens in a year.  It is so hard to believe this photo was taken just last year!

My babies are growing up so fast!

We had a great Easter.  I had to help set up for the Easter brunch at church, so Britt and Parker went to church without me :(   As Easter approached, I tried to explain to Parker why we celebrate Easter.  He would usually be able to repeat it back to me if I asked.  Sunday morning, as I was getting ready for church, I asked him why we celebrated Easter.  He quickly replied, "Because Christmas is over!"  Ha!  Mind you, he had just opened his Easter basket, so I guess Christmas was on his mind. :)

After the church brunch, we headed home to pick up a few things and then drove to Raymond to eat lunch with Britt's extended family.  After we ate, we had an Easter egg hunt for, Madye, Parker, Harrison, and Brayden.  Here they are ready to find their eggs!

Baby Brayden was inside taking his bottle.  He joined in he fun later. :)  Here are a few more pics from the kids Easter egg hunt.

After they find all their eggs, they trade them in for fun prizes.  After the kids hunt is finished, the big kids have an egg hunt.  Our eggs had slips of paper in them.  Each color of paper was worth a certain amount of money.  Kimberly has won 2 years in a row!  I am bringing my A game next year!  :)  I didn't get any pictures from the big kid hunt.  I was too busy trying to find eggs!  I was the LAST one, and that was only because Britt gave me one of his...  Anyway, we were worn slap out by the time we headed home.  I am so thankful for my family and being able to celebrate our Lord rising from the dead!  What a reason to celebrate!

My Latest Obsession

teaser_logo12.gif

My friend Lindsay told me about Pilates Anytime a few weeks ago.  I just finished the 15 day free trial, and I am hooked!  There are hundreds of videos.  My personal favorites so far- Rhythm Pilates and Booty Barre.  If you have been looking for a new workout regimen, you should definitely check it out!

My Birthday Week

My birthday was March 19.  My awesome husband brought me home a surprise everyday for a week.  Here is a picture of most of the goodies :)

Yes, that is tylenol pm.  Sometimes, a mommy really needs to get some sleep! ;)
Not pictured: Pilates(my new obsession) mat, a new fluffy, pillow, and a Mcd's gift card!  I also got a great card with a little shopping money on my actual b'day.  I bought some rainbow flip flops with my b'day money.  I am trying to figure out what else to get :)   We were in Hattiesburg on my birthday.  My sisters kept the boys so Britt and I could go out to Crescent City for lunch.  It was so good!  I got the fried chicken salad.  It was HUGE.  I was so sad the leftovers didn't make it home. :(  We also ordered white chocolate bread pudding. Always delicious!  My parents were on their way home from Jackson, so we were able to meet them in Magee for dinner.  All in all a great birthday!

Fun at the Park!

Last week, we went to the park with some friends.  Parker and J have become fast friends.  I finally took my camera with me and snapped a few pics.
Harrison had eyes for Mrs. Lindsay that day.  It was so funny!

Love these girls!

Me and my sweet Harrison.  I tried to get P in the pic, but he was not having it :(

Silly boys

My favorite picture to date.  Love my boys!

Trying to get a group picture ;)

Way Behind

Well, once again I am way behind on my blogging.  There about 20 different things I have wanted to write about, but I just can't seem to find the time or the motivation to sit down and do it.  Lots has happened  since my last post.  First on the list is, Harrison started WALKING!  He is still not walking 100% of the time, but he is walking more and more.  When he started walking, he could stand up without help from something, a chair, a table, my leg.  He is finally able to stand back up if he falls.  I feel like he will walk more and more now that he can stand up on his own...

Harrison also has 4 molars coming in.  Poor thing.  The two on the right side have popped through.  The two on the left are still making there way.  I am SO over the whole teething thing.  It has not been fun.  I know the poor baby is in pain, but he has been so clingy.  I mean, if I look at him, he starts crying and crawls straight to me.  We were at a friends house a few weeks ago, and I was sitting on the floor in the play room.  Harrison was playing happily by himself across the room.  I decided to try and sneak downstairs.  I stood up, and Harrison started screaming bloody murder and crawling to me.  I am telling you, the clinginess, is about to make me lose my mind!

I am still trying to get him off his bottle.  I must say, I am not trying very hard.  I feel like he is going through so much right now.  I would rather just take one thing at a time.  For instance, first he wouldn't drink whole milk.  Now he will drink it, but only from a bottle.  Now that he is off of formula, I feel like I can move to the next thing.  Now I am trying to decide if that should be get rid of the bottle, or transitioning to one nap a day.  Ah the joys of motherhood.

Parker is is keeping me busy as well.  I must say, at the moment, he is WAY easier than Harrison.  He is pretty independent and plays very well by himself.  He is not a big fan of sharing his toys.  If he hears "Harry" coming down the hallway, he starts screaming, "NO! Get Harry!  He's going to get my toys!  NO NO HARRY!" Such brotherly love.

Park is starting preschool in the fall!  I can't believe my baby is going to be in preschool.  I don't know if I will ever stop calling him my baby either.  He always tells me he is a big boy not a baby.

A few of Parker's favorite things are:  trucks, anything that is a diesel, Cars, Toy Story, Mighty Machines, trailers, and probably his favorite thing, his gator.  He told me his gator needed a hitch so he could pull his trailer(wagon).  I told him what I always tell him, "I will get your daddy to make you one." :)  This is what his daddy came up with:

Thank goodness for a resourceful husband!  The "trailer" has also been a very good baby sitter while I get the kitchen clean. ;)  As you can see from this picture, and almost all my pictures on facebook, Parker wears his boots ALL THE TIME.  He will occasionally wear his tennis shoes, but only if he is going to be running.  Boots are for walking, and tennis shoes are for running :)  I was hoping the boots would make it to Harrison, but it is not looking so promising. :)  What can I say?  He is all boy!

That's all for now!

Happy Birthday Harrison!

Happy Birthday sweet Harrison.  You have been such a joy the past year!  It has truly FLOWN by!  You are growing by leaps and bounds!  Here are just a few things I have enjoyed about you through the first year of your life:

  • I call you my sweet Harrison for a reason.  You are the sweetest little thing!
  • Your smile makes me melt.
  • I have loved waiting for each milestone to come.  Some have come earlier than i expected, and some much later than I expected.  Not that you are behind or anything, but I really expected you to start walking by 10 months!  :)
  • I loved hearing your sweet baby sounds and giggles.
  • You have the most beautiful blue eyes, and the longest eyelashes I have ever seen on a baby.  Yes, I am jealous ;)
  • I love watching you and your big brother play together.  Y'all are so much a like it is scary.  I am in big trouble!
Like I said, there are many more things I enjoy about you, but I don't have time to write it all down at the moment :)

At one year old, you are:
  • crawling like a mad man.  You are so fast!
  • climbing on everything.  You especially love the dishwasher, the fireplace hearth, and the step stool!
  • You haven't had baby food for a month or 2.  All table food for you!
  • You have 6 teeth.
  • You can say dada, bubba, mama, bye bye, and sometime I can get you to say "cheese" for the camera!
  • You love bath time, but for some reason, you prefer to hold on to the side of the tub and stand the whole time :)
  • You take 1-2 naps a day.  Lately you have been taking 2, but I think it is because you don't feel good :(
  • We were suppose to go for your 1 yr check up tomorrow, but I had to cancel since you were sick.  I do know that you weigh 21lbs 10oz.  You are not a chunky monkey, but you are solid!
  • You are down to about 2 bottles a day.  1 in the morning, and 1 one at night.
  • I love almost everything you eat.  Pickles, chicken salad, pasta salad, grapes, strawberries, chicken strips, hamburgers, french fries... the list could go on and on!
  • You are a pro at drinking from a sippy cup.  You have your own baby sippy cups, but you have no problem drinking from your big brother's cups as well
For your 1st birthday, I decided to have a small family birthday party.  We cannot fit a lot of people in our tiny house, so I opted for just family.  I wanted to have the party at this house since it will be your first and last birthday at this house :(  It is going to be a barnyard theme!  I didn't start planning until a few days ago, but I think it will still be cute!  Your Aunt Danielle your birthday outfit and I can't wait for you to wear it!  :)

Harrison, we love you so much.  We are so thankful we have you in our lives.  I can't wait to see what God has in store for your life!  Love you sweet man!
