Hilton Head via the iPhone

We are back from Hilton Head!  We all had a blast.  I took lots of pictures with my iPhone and my real camera. First up, iPhone pictures!

Ghost Cloud.

Harrison fell asleep somewhere in AL...
Earphones are the best invention ever!!!

We stopped in Auburn, AL to eat and decided to be a little touristy and drive through Auburn's campus.

It was pretty steamy in Macon, GA

Eating lunch at The Pirate's House in Savannah.

Posing with my big boy. :)

The only picture poor Kk was in all week.  Parker was getting in some snuggle time, so I had to snap it. :)

We took the back way from Hilton Head to Savannah.  It was the prettiest drive.  It ended up being faster too!

Harry was in the zone whenever he watched TV in the car.

Happy boys when we made it our room!

They were so ready to get to the beach!

Harrison is TWO! (Almost 5 months late)

My sweet Hare Bear is two!  I can't believe it.  He is growing up so fast!  Here are his statistics from his 2 year check-up:

Height: 35 inches 67th percentile (I am not positive that was how tall he measured.  It's been a few weeks.  My memory is not what it used to be!)

Weight: 26.4lbs 40th percentile

Harrison did so good at his check-up!  He stepped right on the scale and stood still.  He let the nurse measure him on the table and measure his head.  Usually he throws a fit!  He also let Dr. Smith look in his ears.  I usually have to hold him down for that too!  My baby is growing up!

Harrison, at two years old, you are keeping me on my toes!  I can't leave you alone for long.  You still love playing in the bathroom.  Although, you don't do it as much.  Mommy got smart and child-proofed the door knob.  ;)  You love playing with your brother.  All of the sudden, you have stopped calling Parker, "Bubba". You now call him Parker 100% of the time!  I guess you decided you are now too big to call him Bubba.  Today, You said, "Watch this you guys."  Daddy and I just looked at each other and laughed.  I have no idea where you learned to say, "you guys."  Certainly not from us!  Saturday, March 2, we started potty training!  You are doing great so far!  I would not say you are potty trained yet, but you rarely have #1 accidents.  #2 is another story!  We'll get there!

We had a small birthday party this year.  I am so glad we did!  Aunt Re came and helped.  I couldn't have done it without her!
Parker got a present too!

You are still a pretty good eater.  You don't eat much, but you definitely eat a wider variety of foods than your brother!  You love juice and tea.  Milk is not your favorite, but you will drink it.  You LOOOOVVEE  chocolate!  You definitely got your sweet tooth from your mommy. :)

It's hard to get a good family picture now days...

Love my sweet boy

Big boy!

Potty training update:  Still working on it.  He goes every time I take him, but will NOT go on his own.  Maybe he will catch on by the time he's three... ;)

What's Been Going On

A lot has happened since my last post!  We FINALLY sold our house!  It is such a relief not to have that hanging over our heads.  We have been in the rental house since April 1.  It is less than desirable, but we are making it!  We love the area we are in, but we still have a few reservations about buying here...  Here are a few pictures from moving day...

I found a penny lodged in the thing that turns the gas to the fireplace.  Harry was here.  :)

We miss our little home.  We made so many memories there.  Sometimes Parker will tell me how he misses our old house.  I hope we can find a awesome home to make many many new memories!

In other news...

The day after we moved, we found out we are expecting #3!  Parker was not too happy when we told him, but he is excited now!  He used to tell me, "I already have a brother and I already have a sister(abbie).   I don't need another one!"  He does not do well with change.  Thankfully he has adjusted to the idea :)

Coming up next, Harrison turns two!

The Weekend

Quick house update before I talk about the weekend.  We signed a contract on our house!!!  We signed it around 2 weeks ago.  We had the home inspection last wednesday.  Hopefully we will get the appraisal done soon so we can close.  We are suppose to close at the end of the month!  This is SUCH an answer to prayer.  Now all we have to do is find a place to live and close!!!

House news brings me to what we did over the weekend.  Britt and his dad tackled the list of things to-do from the home inspection.  They worked ALL day and got almost everything done!  So thankful for handy men in the family!  It was FREEZING saturday(like snow flurries freezing).  The boys, Kk, and I stayed inside and packed a few boxes.  Parker walked into the living room after took all the pictures off the wall and said, "Mommy, why does everything look not the same?"  He was not a fan.  He does not like change.  I am hoping the excitement of a "new" house will keep him from getting upset about the move.  We will see!

We also did a little potty training over the weekend...

How cute does Harry look in his training pants???  He did really well.  He didn't have any #1 accidents!  #2 is another story.  I DO NOT believe in using pull-ups, but until we get the #2 situation under control, I think that is what Harrison will be wearing.  I am not in to cleaning poopy underwear 3 times a day!  The boys spent the night at Kk and Jojo's saturday and sunday night.  Kk was good enough to keep up with the potty training.  No #1 accidents Sunday!   We took monday and today off.  We were gone for several hours both days.  Not ready for public potty training yet!  We will be back to the grind tomorrow.  Potty training wears a mommy out.  I will be glad when we are done!!!

Saturday night, Britt and I had a very glamorous night and order pizza and watched Ocean's 12.  It was so cold and we were both so tired from a long days work, it was the perfect night. :)  Sunday we ate lunch a Beagle Bagle and then drove around looking for rental houses in Jackson and Byram.  We called about one on Jackson and were able to go look at it.  We can't put a deposit down until the appraisal is done though.  After we finished driving around, I was craving Marble Slab.  We pulled into the parking lot to find that Marble Slab had CLOSED!!! What??? When did this happen??? I was so upset!  I settled for Baskin Robbins instead.  We watched, what else, but Ocean's 13 sunday night!  We finished our kid free time with breakfast at Cracker Barrel.  After breakfast, I rode with Britt to look at a house he is going to insure.  He dropped me back at my car, and I headed to get the boys.  It's nice to have a break every once in a while, but I am always SO glad to have my boys home!

I leave you with pictures of the boys in Parker's room after they cleaned it.  They did it all by themselves!  I was so proud of them!  I didn't hear one fight!

Today

We had a very busy day today! First we did a little school work. I have been trying to keep doing school with Parker at home now that he is not in preschool anymore.

After we finished school, we got dressed and headed to Harrison's 2 year check up!  He did so good!  We headed to Chick-Fil-A for lunch with Kk!  I didn't take any pictures at the doctor or chick fil a. :(

After lunch, we headed to the sunglass store so Kk and I could try on sunglasses.  Britt and Jojo won a contest with work and Kk and I reaped the reward!  Sweet hubbies.  Okay, so they won a pair for themselves too...  We got the first pair though!  :)

Parker thought he needed a pair.  $16 sunglasses for a 4 year old were definitely not in our budget though.  Sorry Park ;)  They sure were cute though!  I asked him where the sunglasses were and he had out them in his pocket!  Definitely had to have the, "We have to pay for things before we put them in our pockets" talk. :)

Parker and Kk stylin' in there shades!

I am having a hard time deciding.  There is a list to choose from.  These are the ones I have narrowed down to.  Help me CHOOSE!!!
Next stop, Stride Rite!  Parker needed some new shoes.  These are the shoes he picked out.  He is very proud of them.  I over heard him say to himself, "I can do anything in these shoes!"

Harrison was pooped from a busy day.  He fell asleep not long after we got in the car for home.

Overall, a very busy, fun day!

Hard Decisions

This week, Britt and I had to make a very hard decision.  We decided to pull the boys out of school.  It might not sound like a hard decision to some people, but it absolutely broke my heart.

Both boys LOVED school.  The problem is, when I registered them at FBC Preschool in Clinton, we still lived in Brandon.  I felt POSITIVE we would be moved by august/september.  WRONG!  Up until January, the drive wasn't to bad.  Britt worked in Raymond so he took them to school and I picked them up.  Now that he is in Byram, I have to take them and pick them up.  Parker is only in school for 3 hours, so it seems pointless to drive all the way home for such a short amount of time.  So, Harry and I would just sit in the car until time to pick Parker up.  I SO wish it was spring or summer so we could just go play at the park, but since it is winter, it has either been raining, or too cold to get out...  So we decided it was just too much to keep it up.

Parker had the BEST teacher ever.  She has worked with Parker and been so patient with him.  If you know him, you know that he is VERY picky.  He also does not like to do school work.  Mrs. Kim just accepted him for who he is and tried to broaden his horizons...  For example, she got him to eat king cake!  This kid ONLY eats chicken, cookies, and crackers.  Eating king cake was a big deal.  I found out today that he actually started doing his school work without saying, "No."  From August to September, he has learned so much, including writing his name AND learning how to draw a picture.  I give Mrs. Kim 100% of the credit.

Mrs. Kim, I don't think you will ever know how truly grateful I am for taking care of my baby.  You loved him and taught him so much.  I am SO grateful for the time he had with you!

Everyone at FBC Preschool is awesome!  They ALL took such good care of Parker.  We are grateful for you all!

I am hoping to take Harrison to say good bye to his teachers Friday, so I will post pictures of that later.  Everyone at the FBC MDO is awesome too!  They always told me what an angel he is.  I am afraid he had them fooled ;)  They loved on him like he was their own, and I am so thankful for that!

I don't know if anyone at the preschool or MDO will read this, but I hope they know how grateful I am for them and how much we will mis every single one of them!
